i was in the first incarnation of this musical (when it was called Abraham Niu and the Friendly Fires), and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
it has evolved since then, becoming a full-fledged stanford production called Pawn.
one of the new songs in Pawn is called "Dog Days." it never fails to bring tears to my eyes:
point of inspiration: i was trying to play my sister's keyboard last night, and the only thing i could find was the script for Abraham Niu. i started looking through the songs and tried to figure out the chords. made me miss the songs so so much -- so, thank god for youtube!
